En esta tierra de todos

donde nadie habla a nadie

donde todos somos extraños

ya sea por nuestra piel

o por nuestra lengua,

donde nos llevamos la peor parte

por no conocer a nadie

y porque nadie nos conocen

o no nos quieren conocer.

 

Qué triste es vivir lejos de lo nuestro

donde todos somos iguales

hablando una misma lengua

y de color nos parecemos.

 

Pero por la circunstancia de la vida

buscamos la manera de vivirla

porque por belleza no se vive.

 

Tenemos que hacer amarga

la existencia de nuestra vida,

donde el destino nos lleva

ciegamente a un mundo,

que cuesta mucho

sonreír.

 

Pero vivir,

tenemos que vivir,

para existir.

In this land of ours

where no one speaks

to no one

where we all are strangers

be it because of our skin

or our language,

where we bring ourselves

to the worst part

for not knowing anyone

and because no one knows us.

How sad it is to live

so far from what is ours

where we are all equal

speaking the same language

and our color is the same.

 

But on account

of the circumstances of our life

we look for a way to live it

because with beauty alone

one does not live.

 

We have to make bitter

the existence of our life,

where destiny takes us

blindly to a world,

where it is hard to smile.

 

But to live,

we must live,

in order to exist.
