Have you ever piled up your regrets and put them away in a corner, never to be seen again? Do you have something that excited you until you actually got your hands on it? What would you do to make your purchases or gifts worth the money spent on them?
Playing video games is one of my favorite pastimes. I have a large collection of games I frequently play. However, I have a larger collection of games I have never touched. While regret might be a strong word for a pile of discs and cartridges, I often wonder if I wasted my money on games I seldom touch.
I have decided that I want to make my purchases worth something. I have a backlog of games to get through and a few weeks to do so. I will organize my unplayed games into groups based on a similar genre or theme. Every week, I’ll play through each group and discuss my thoughts on the New Worcester Spy. I will also explain why I bought each game and why it took so long to start playing it.
I’m here to prove that your purchases can be justified and your regrets can be defeated, just like a video game boss. All it takes is determination (and a little help along the way).
